    Colemak Standard Layout:

Colemak with International Keys (which I don't believe anyone has done):

Feel free to use them on your site.

Why was Colemak removed from Wikipedia again?

See Articles for deletion/Colemak. If you want to restore the Colemak article, you should ask for a deletion review. If you'll just recreate the article it is likely to be deleted again by the Wikipedia administrators.

On first look, it was closed because it's a new layout which would be simply stupid. On second thought however, maybe it made claims that were hard to swallow given its status as newcomer?

Someone should really write up a new article. Make sure it's well balanced and carefully worded, not evangelising. That'd be useful.

About the images: Nice, but may I make a couple of suggestions (granted, I don't know the genre of Wikipedia-like layouts)?
    - Use "Win" instead of "Win Key". We all know it's a key (although some gamers now call it the "Loss" key instead after having their game disrupted by it...), and the visual impression will be much calmer that way.
    - Make a pixel's worth of breather between the apostrophes and the frame of the keys – i.e., move the top chars down one pixel in their frames I guess.

Shai: The layout images on this site are almost impossible to find at https://colemak.com/Images – or is it just me? Maybe a more obvious link somewhere for the benefit of us slowpokes might be in order. And do update the page adding michaelliberty's (and with mine – wink wink?). The more the merrier.

Maybe there should be a thread where for reviews and evaluations independent of Shai should be collected.  That seems to be the main problem.  That and the rather bizarre comments by the editors that seemed to expect it to be an overnight success just because it was mentioned on slashdot as if that was something high profile.

Having only very recently given any attention to alternative layouts, my impression is that there seems to be a great deal of hostile skepticism out there to a new keyboard layout and maybe with good reason given some of the proposals out there floating around and the fact of Dvorak's long spotty record. I don't know if I would have adopted it if it hadn't turned out to be so easy to have it on a mac and to have the confidence of easily flipping back and forth between it and Qwerty.

    Maybe in another year.

I don't understand why they deleted the Wikipedia page. Don't they have anything else to do? There's like 6 keyboard layouts out there. Give colemak a break!

I think the reason why the Wikipedia article was deleted was because the Colemak layout was deemed as "non-notable" by Wikipedia standards.  In order for a Wikipedia article to exist, there has to be independent sources (e.g. newspaper articles, scientific studies) written about the subject of the article.  So until the Colemak layout gets some more press coverage, I don't think we will have any luck at having a permanent article up on Wikipedia.

See the following link for more information on what is considered notable on Wikipedia:

Wow,  as a scientist I find it incredibly funny that Wikipedia actual thinks they have standards.

Oops, it seems someone deleted the Colemak International image! Wiki-hooligans...

Do anyone have it? Is Michael himself still online?

Do anyone have a good image of the Colemak AltGr mappings (lv3-4) at all? There should definitely be one on the Images page!

(Oh yeah, and that page should be listed directly from the front page too!)

Sorry I can't find it (No doubt I deleted it months/years ago).

But it looks like something else has done something similar:

Ah yes, forgot about that one. Thanks Michael!

Shai, please link to that file from the Images page at least? :)
