I watched the film 'Song for Marion' last night, which is a teary little number.  At the beginning there was a trailer for 'Populaire', a french rom-com that includes a speed typing competition.

Of course it piqued my interest, quickly making it onto my watchlist...

My wife and I watched this movie this week. If you like rom-coms, it's a decent one. A little predictable, but quirky.

One thing I noted was that the record-setting typing speeds in the film are all around 500 CPM -- not uncommon around here. But then you remember that's on a mechanical typewriter, and with a 100 character penalty per error...

Oh well I really got off on all the shiny type-writers.  The film looks nice.  I'd caution against typing over at your bosses house.

It could lead to all sorts of unergonomic stuff, I'm sure!

If you like the aesthetic of the late 1950s, early 1960s, the film is gorgeous to look at. And the leading couple aren't hard on the eyes, either.
