Good job, mate! Grats!
I got annoyed today because I kept getting 67 and thereabouts for the longest time. Finally I got a "lucky break":

the gap is narrowing..
That was no gap, that was me being very stubborn. You're as good as I am now I believe, and will pass me soon. Ah, to see the kids grow up and surpass their father... *sniff*

Well played, Pinkyache. I hope your pinky doesn't ache too badly now? :-)

ghen posted a 106 which is obscene - later redacted as he realised it was so far ahead it killed the competition, bit like usain bolt rocking up to a school sports day..
Some people are just fast, regardless of layout. He's blazing on MessagEase too (but Pavel's even faster)!

i'm after pinkyache now - i predict a year minimum to make up a further 11 wpm - actually probably longer..
My realistic goal has always been 80 WPM, not sure I can get much above that. I guess I think too much, or too slowly, or something. ;-) But my ambitious goal would be to stretch another 10 WPM from there...

I think you have done that then right? Everyone must have an upper limit, much like they do for sprinting 100m. Something you can't exceed through more training. And perhaps the variation on that limit varies widely
My only ambition in life is to be a megaracer on typeracer - a worthy ideal i am sure you will agree.. for the love of god don't let my genetic limitation be 79 wpm
Well you can't really compare apples and oranges or rather Dvorak and Colemak... I only burst to about 90. I have peaked 100. But regular typing will be at a lower WPM. I rarely practice now. That oddly was my first attempt in a long while. And should give everyone some hope. As I am aged and a little late to the touch typing party. I hoped for 40 WPM. Now I'd like something around 120 WPM. Just goes to show goals change. And some of us are never satisfied. I'm always taken a back when a Qwerty touch typist comes to the forum, bemoaning of their 120+ WPM, hoping to push the boundaries by swapping layout. Just goes to show it's all relative.

If only I could realise my life's ambition so easily... You are footsteps away. What then?

Upping the ante! On my crappy HP rubber dome... Not much fun, and left wrist cries out for angle mod or a split keyboard.

i think i have a bit of mileage left in the megaracer goal - i have a long way to travel from my current residence in the low 60's
my 10fastfingers is a bit flattering as its a max over a much easier corpus
i do harbour a sister ambition of building a £10 cold fusion reactor but I'm focussing on the megaracer one for now
