    Shai, I have come up with a variation of your keyboard layout, and
    I would like to hear your opinions on it excluding the Shortcut compatibility / ease of learning
    or language barriers.  Take these three factors out of the equation and tell me what you think.

    q w c f g j l u y ;
    a r s t d h n e i o
    z x p v b k m , .

    I have swapped C for P.
    I have swapped  F for C.
    I have swapped P for F.

    Well, it's less QWERTY compatible and it uses less often the bottom row (which is obviously your design goal). It has more same-finger combos. The SP/PS digraph occurs more frequently any other same-finger combo on Colemak, and having CS/SC and SP/PS same-finger digraphs on the middle finger is a bit too much for my liking. It also puts a bit more effort on the index finger, which is already doing more work than the other fingers.

    None of these problems are really that major, and it all depends on your design goal priorities.

    Yes, please tell us in more detail your goals and priorities jag50?

    If the bottom row is a problem, I'd rather use a 102-key board with the bottom half-row shift (<ZXCVB changed to ZXCVB< where '<' denotes VK_102) - like I'm doing now. This makes the bottom row a much nicer place to visit without disturbing the motor memory for the zxcvb keys (that I can notice). But I guess you'll come across a few frustrating situations where you cannot choose which board to use then.
