VIPER DOES 200+ WPM WITH COLEMAK

Pop the corks! The "Mach 2" barrier of 200 WPM has been broken by Colemak typist Viper, who just got a 201 WPM score at 10FastFingers!

This lays waste to any unfounded claims that Colemak can't compete with the best speedwise.

Source: Alfredo at the Colemak Discord channel. He's a 10FF admin, so he knows Viper.

According to his 10FF profile, Viper clocks a ≈170 WPM average speed at the normal typing test, and ≈150 WPM at the advanced one. That's strong.

Enjoy his reaction towards the end of the movie when he sees his speed score! ^_^

If you want to see his fingers in action, here's another video of him doing 150 WPM on TyperA.

Also, read his account of how he went from 0–200 WPM on Colemak in little more than a year!

    Update 2019-06-14

True to form, Viper has surpassed even his 201 WPM result and is now truly a world-class top notch 221 WPM typist using Colemak! IIRC, the last time his accuracy was below 95% so this time it's more of a perfect storm as would be expected when achieving such blinding speeds.

    Update 2019-08-16

This time around, the Viper got his record on video: 223 WPM on 10ff, just amazing to watch.

    Update 2019-09-25

By now it's hardly a surprise anymore, but the Viper struck again. This time he managed 227 WPM even though his accuracy was a bit lower than the last time:

Look upon his works, ye mighty, and despair!!! O_O

Yon very vicious voracious Viper had ta'en a vocal victory
But lo, the deed was dubitable, deemed a dastardly deceit, a discarded dream,
'Til Viscount Alfredo for the Viper's veritable virtue vouched!
Thus DreymaR declared, this dictum to divulge

Yea, upon that blessed day, King Viper the Valiant, hereafter our Supreme Serpentine Sovereign, was crowned.
Also, the dearth of food that year did force us to greedily feast upon Sir DreymaR's minstrels.

EDIT: Incorporation of even more silliness.

And there was much rejoicing! ^_^

Note, good sire, that the deed ne'er was dubious, merely dubitable.

Thou hast reason in this matter. T'was amended as described. Though thou owest me a new feather quill, for the earnest scribbling of the amendment hath altogether snapped my former quill in twain.

It ain't easy writing royal histories, y'know. ;)

Indeed, I couldn't take credit for that part. I had to stop myself before saying something especially cheesy like "All hail King Viper the Valiant, our Supreme Serpentine Sovereign". Though, by a wonderful coincidence, that alliteration ends up making a "Sss...". ;)

That particular soliloquy was so exquisitely written and executed that I would never defile it by imitation. <3
