    Following the xorg.conf directions at https://colemak.com/Unix will cause Caps Lock only to Backspace the last character when held down, rather than erasing characters until the key is lifted. This problem does not occur if one does setxkbmap -v colemak && xset r 66.

    While I haven't tested, it's possible that this occurs in other Linux distributions as well.

    Ah, so that's why the "xset r 66" was recommended in the colemak *nix download. I was wondering about that, since setting a repeat rate didn't strike me as particularly layout-related. I see the rationale now - although I think I could live with a non-repeating Backspace too.

    Obviously, that wasn't included in the xorg.conf example. Not sure whether it can be specified in xorg.conf, nor how it would be formulated if it is possible. But I'm sure someone else here know.
