I like your keyboard. I have a key-swapped black MacBook and one of the new thin Apple Keyboards, but neither one glows.

I'm glad that you are enjoying the switch and able to type at a decent speed after a couple of weeks, but it's also that you are not fixating on speed alone. We have some people on the forum that are very focussed on using Colemak to type faster, but that's a poor goal to aim for, since it took them years of practice to gain that speed on QWERTY in the first place. The people that aim for increased comfort or enjoy the elegance of Colemak seem to be happier with the new layout.

    Keeping Going Crux.

You'd never regret that you learned Colemak at any time in your life.

    Best Wishes.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm fully acclimated to Colemak now; I even hit my funny semicolons. I haven't bothered to do any more speed comparisons but I'm quite comfortable. Of course, whatever layout one chooses, there's still other habits to cultivate; my wrists rest way down at the bottom of the keyboard way too much for QWERTY or Colemak.
