I don't exactly want each person's amphetype data, although that may be a more brute force way of improving my own model.  What I want is a program that collects amphetype-like data on our typing, but combines it all together in intelligent ways to show what the best patterns for physical key sequences are, and which are to be avoided.  For instance, some of you may use number row or AltGr because of your regional keyboard or custom keyboard, and if you've been using it a while it would be useful to know how good or bad your trigrams are that involve those keys.  It would also be useful to see if the patterns I see with my own typing apply to others, or if theirs are completely alien, etc.  So I'm not asking for your amphetype data, but I'm dreaming of a program that was like amphetype but uploaded the data to the author and put it together in a way that showed us the patterns that are common to us all--the real differences in speed that are "true" for "most typists."

Something similar to typingMaster's satellite would be ideal for data collection. Should be cross-platform, and let you audit what you send (e.g., remove passwds)

It seems that we already have a good source of data: the hi-games typing test.  All of the data is already saved for the high scores.
