I'm quite impressed with colemak and have already setup work computers (XP) to use autohotkey.

My problem is my home computer using Ubuntu. I live in Thailand and need to be able to switch languages. I could switch dvorak easily by setting up "XkbLayout"     "dvorak,th". though I did not use that due to reasons explained in the FAQ. colemaks way using xkbsymbols seems to disable that switching.

Is there a way to change between Thai, Colemak and QWERTY (my wife has no interest in experimentation) using xkblayout? Or perhaps some trickier way to use xkbsymbols?

Thanks a lot looking forward to making the switch complete.

See if this thread helps. I'm planning for future versions for this to be done automatically.

    Yes that worked perfectly.

It should be noted for the benefit of others that I am using Xubuntu too be more specific, which uses xfce instead of gnome.

seems this should work for any users needing to switch languages, not just gnome users.

    Thanks for the help
