Owner description: As there doesn't seem to be such a video on YouTube. It is certainly not to show off speed: this is 69 WPM, approximately my top speed (I've only used Colemak for two months). Rather, I posted this to show how little the fingers actually move.

No, I'm not an experienced touch typist.

The camera is bobbing because it is simply my cell on an unsteady surface, and it seems to shake a litte each keypress.

And if you're unitiated: the reason i press caps lock all too often is because Colemak replaces it with backspace.

Owner description: This is what typing at near-fifty WPM looks like on the Colemak layout. Very relaxed.
I'm still gaining speed all of the time, without much effort, just by using.

(The awful humming noise is my friend's Celeron under the table.)

Owner description: This is me typing using the Colemak keyboard layout 2 months after switching cold-turkey from qwerty. I'm typing at 58wpm here, with 97.7% accuracy. The capslock key is remapped to backspace, so whenever I use it it's because I've made a typo.
I really enjoy using this layout due to the reduced movement of my fingers while typing, as you should be able to see in the video. It feels a lot more relaxed than typing using qwerty! Sorry about leaving my music on while recording this.

The first one is mine. Unfortunately my speed hasn't increased by much since then, possibly another 10 WPM.

How come everyone is typing with such poor form, resting their palms, bending wrists, too low, stretching with fingers rather than moving forearms.  Looks really uncomfortable.

I've noticed this when viewing videos on the web.  Perhaps it's the demographic?

If there are any fast (let's say 60wpm and up) comfortable touch typists on here I'd love to see your typing style.

It is probably better to ask some keyboard veterans to post their videos - those that have typed for years and continue to use the keyboard for sustained periods of time that don't experience discomfort - rather than young inexperienced typists who haven't yet trashed their bodies.

The second video, posted by Tony_VN, is mine. I'm now typing consistently at 60wpm, with a maximum of about 70wpm. Keyboard samurai, do you have any information as to how I could improve my 'typing form'? Should my wrists not touch my desk at all? When I keep my wrists off my desk then it feels less comfy, and I feel like I am raising my shoulders to do that. Perhaps my desk is too high/chair too low.

I may post another video in a few months if I feel that I have improved enough to demonstrate a better typing technique. I think it would be instructive for others if I do manage to improve. In the meantime, do any experienced and quick Colemak typists want to post videos of them typing?

These videos are great to show that Colemak are superior to Qwerty, to prove that mostly your hands are resting in the homerow while typing in Colemak.

Keep on recording guys, for different camera angles and typing speed, just for fun. It is definitely helpful and persuasive to Qwerty users.

not endorsing these links,  just given visual examples of what is considered proper posture

Many keyboards and keyboard trays have wrist supports to help keep your wrists in a neutral, almost straight position. But wrist pads are just there for brief rests. They are actually not meant to be used while you are typing, ...

Colemak typing 103wpm on Kinesis Contoured Advantage Linear Force

    Note from the video author
This is a Kinesis Contoured Advantage with MX Cherry red mechanical key switches, which are linear mechanical switches as opposed to tactile, hence the name Linear Force. This model is not listed on their website and you have to call and ask for it specifically. It cost about $30 more than their the normal version which uses MX Cherry brown switches instead.

Same author as the previous Kinesis video.

Nice, it looks like he uses his left thumb for space as well :-P

The linear model sounds the same as the brown switch one, to my surprise. But damn, I'd love to try the reds, but I just don't know anyone or any place in my country that has mech boards :-/

I recently bought one of the Kinesis MX Red keyboards for home and it's been a slow march getting used to it because at work I type on a regular keyboard all day.  It's coming along nicely though and I eventually expect to buy one for work too.  Having the Space, Enter, and a bunch of other keys on the thumbs is so wonderful... I'm amazed that more keyboards haven't done something similar.

In the future, I hope I can use my feet to press Backspace and Space, that will be very handy and footy for typists.
