I seem to unintentionally switch layouts from Colemak to US (qwerty) whenever I press CTRL+SHIFT, which is very annoying given the amount of shortcuts I press those 2 keys for. Anyone know how to disable that particular shortcut? I'm using Windows 7 32 bit

Right click on the language bar and choose Settings. In the opened window go to the Advanced Key Settings tab. Under the Change Key Sequence... button you'll find different options for changing the Input Language and the Keyboard Layout.

Both the Ctrl+Shift and Alt+Shift [thanks, pafkata!] options mess me up when using Windows. I usually opt for the Ctrl+Alt+# version, using 1 for the default system layout and 2 for the alternative one etc.

Alt+Shift changes the language by default. Ctrl+Shift changes the layouts within the language. Hope that make sense.

This helps a lot. Thank you. I've just switched it to ctrl-shift 1 (colemak) and ctrl-shift-2 (qwerty) and I shouldn't have any problems switching randomly now.
