@pinkyache

I feel I'm getting to the plateau. The wpm range is 58wpm to 65 wpm at TypeRace. Top speed at TypeRace is 69wpm.

What frustrates me the fingers have its own free will and mood which is out of my control. Ah most of time even I try to focus on accuracy, my brain wonders around often instead follow the words carefully.

Sometimes when this happens to me, having more often breaks helps. And not giving up. I stay that day until I reach a level of satisfaction in my typing – usually regarding accuracy. Much easier said than done, of course.

Plateauing is fine - unless you're impatient. ;)

I've recently improved from the last plateau, using Amphetype to "finger-read" books. Yay!

Great progress still. Now my speed is increasing 1wpm in 3-5 months, still I not think I get to a plateau.

Thanks for the advice guys. ^^

I want to enjoy typing exercise as long as I can. One day is high, another day is down.  Stay calm and keep doing it.  I don't wanna abuse my precious fingers either.

@DreymaR

Congratulation!

Typing Test: 1 Minute 69 wpm

I hope to break 2 Minute's record by next weekend. ^^

By the way there was a cheater who recorded 311 wpm for the 1 Minute test. It was typing  incredible speed for 15 to 20 seconds then speed drops down and a lot of mistakes by the cheater.

Yeah. A friend told me about that cheating software. I decided to give it a try on a new account and let it do its thing on the second half of the test, but you can see it was very slow.

PS: lol, I just had to throw a bad joke there, sorry.

TypeTest is an excellent  site for touch typing practice for sure.

It seems to practice many sessions on TypeTest is less productive. Because I can't repeat the same sentences that I made mistake in previous session. Every new session pulls different sentences. Occasionally I find the previous sentences but the order and sequences are changed

I just found out today I can practice over and over against my previous practice until I reach the goal - accuracy and speed.  My current goal is to have over 98% accuracy and 70wpm for any sentences. I'll practice the ghost race on TypeRacer website.

Hey penguin. I'm curious how much do you train and type daily?

@pafkata90

Average one hour to ninety minutes per day for the last month. I usually practice half hour to one hour per session. I try not to go over ninety minutes.

The weird thing is when forearm muscles get sore after labor work during the day, it affects finger movement.

Woot! I honestly gave up figuring out how to type fast.

Typing Test: 1 Minute 84 wpm

@pinkyache

I stopped using Qwerty probably after the second week of learning Colemak. Do you use Qwerty and Colemak?

I'll stop practicing after I'll hit 100 wpm.

@penguin - neither Colemak or Qwerty -  Dvorak. 100 is a nice round (and square) number.
