    Hi, everyone!

    I switched to Colemak last week so it's been 7 days since I switched over. Progress has been slow but I am not too worried about it.

    First I need to "unlearn" QWERTY and then I'll be able to learn Colemak more effectively. I am guessing it will take me 4 or 5 months to become proficient. It's been absolute torture these past few days not being able to type at my normal speed (which is about 70 wpm on QWERTY) but I know it'll all be worth it in the long run!!

    The first three weeks would be pure hell. Hopefully you can get over it, then you will feel the typing comfort that Colemak can provide.

    Another week has passed and not much has happened :) I am still trying to forget Qwerty which will probably take another 3 weeks.

    Of course, I haven't cheated or anything and I am still typing with only Colemak. I am not switching or anything, just straight Colemak. I am still making tons of mistakes, switching letters. My biggest problems are R&S, F, I&Y, and T&D. Ahh, and I&E :) Like I said earlier, it'll take me about a month to really get used to Colemak and then I'll devote more time and energy to improving my speed which will probably shoot up after getting comfortable.

    And I also have a problem with D&G! I think my problem is the whole keyboard :) It's OK... Rome wasn't built in one day.

    Wow! I suppose you go straight to type all keys in Colemak right away, which would be tougher than the hell, if it does exist.

    Do you use TypeFaster? I think that program is very useful to learn the whole keyboard, since it teaches us one or two keys per session. Hellish just enough for me.
