Just when I was achieving native speed, you come with a new system.  Damn you! ;)

Well if you're curious my experiance learning Asetion has been a little different than advertised.  When I started learning in early September I had a QWERTY speed of 75 words/min with 97% accuracy.  Now I've worked my way up to 65 w/m with Asetion (still improving) with ths same accuracy.  I've also completely lost my QWERTY skills (I finger peck on public terminals).  Obviously other people's results will differ.

One improvement I noticed immediatly was just how ergonomic Asetion was.  Typing feels easier on the hand, even now when I'm almost back up to my old speed.  I hope this remains the same with Colemak (I'll let you know how it goes).

i use asetion from july and i'm very satisfied with it.. my accuracy comparing to qwerty improved a lot.... at some point i was afraid to type qwerty coz of asetion ;) at the moment i can easily use both qwerty and asetion.. the only difference is that i keep qwerty typing as 'looking at keyboard' and typing asetion as 'blind typing'...

i remember changing r & t on asetion at some point in september (i think) and that was frustrating.. i would like to try colemak just if shai can promise that he will not change it in next year (at least) ;)

otherwise i will wait for a while to be sure i won't need to switch keyboard layout anymore... this not the best game ever if you switch more than once in your life ;)

anyway.. all kudos to shai for great work... keep up the same ;)

It won't change again, I promise!

Update: Sorry, there have been a few tweaks in the layout. I hope this will the be last time.

I am more accurate in asetion than in qwerty also. Asetion has alot of subsequent keys lined up in home row so i tend to rock my hand alot, especially with words ending in ion. I wonder if hand rocking is slower than alternating hands?

I think the colemak layout was love at first site. I instantly recognized a certain intuitive beauty and utility, even before i tried it out. It just looked right. Also the groups of keys looked alot less random and much more memorizable than qwerty. I didnt quite have that feeling when i first saw asetion. I'll report more once i have the whole layout learned.
