I have a mac and wonder if its really simple configuring and switching to the Colemak layout. Also is the colemak layout here to stay?? I hope in twenty years it will be stronger than ever and overtaking Qwerty. I hope sooner.

Yes, it's here to stay. How strong it will be we'll have to wait and see, but there are many enthusiasts that hope for the best at least.

Switching to Colemak on a Mac is simple, just follow the instructions in the install and let us know if you get stuck. I had no problems when I did it on my parents' Mac at least.

There is no way to predict Colemak's popularity in the future, but one thing is for sure, I'm not changing back to QWERTY and I'm sure neither are many of the current and future Colemak users.
