Just thought I'd stop by and say hello.

Purely out of boredom I decided to switch to an alternative keyboard layout yesterday. I settled on Colemak mainly because I didn't like the load Dvorak puts on the weaker fingers, particularly with the placement of the 'l' and 's' keys. So here I am, barely functional, but progressing steadily with the help of KTouch. I've been touch-typing with Qwerty for about 7 years, but never bothered to take a speed test. I'm guessing I was somewhere in the ballpark of 60-70 WPM with not-so-great accuracy, and I'm hoping to eventually improve on both with Colemak.

Indeed. My first experimentation with Linux was a result of boredom as well. Boredom is a great learning tool for me.
