    Hello all I would like to learn how to type faster,

    My current speed is about 25 wpm

    also I would like to know with which figures do I hit the shift, ctrl and all those type of keys with?

    You should be able to hit at least 50wpm pretty quickly with Colemak (in a matter of weeks).

    I think the best advice is to focus on accuracy and practice typing as much as possible. Download amphetype from here:

    Here is the authors description (a Colemak user called tristesse):

    "Amphetype is a layout-agnostic typing program aimed at people who don't need an on-screen keyboard, but would still like to improve their speed and accuracy."

    Use the left pinkie for left Shift and right pinkie for right Shift. For the Control keys I lift my hands off the home row  because they are not easy to reach.
