I used QWERTY, and could type at ~ 60 wpm

I've been using Colemak for one week.  I switched entirely using it on Windows XP
and Linux at home, work, and school.  After one week I can type at ~ 25-35 wpm speed,
gaining about 5 wpm every day.

Colemak works for me in all programs which I use daily:  vim, zsh, mutt, MS Word.

The switch was *much* less painful than I expected.

    Thanks DreymaR,

I just want to add that I do not use Backspace in the place of CapsLock
because I have Control key there.  I first saw Control and CapsLock
swapped on a Sun keyboard and I found it extremely convenient (try to type Ctrl-A).

I think I can live with Backspace in the QWERTY position.

Of course you can. Or map Backspace to your Control key and have a lot of fun with that.  ^_^
